8609 is a fast curing, medium strength anaerobic retaining compound for continuous working temperatures up to 3000 F. 8609 retaining compound is ideal for gap distances up to 0.005” diameter. Meets US Military Specification R-46082B Type I.

Applications:

• Join rotor to shafts in fractional and subfractional horsepower motors.
• High temperature resistance retaining compound.
• Used for close fitting parts, rotor on shafts, bushes, pulleys and gears

Rapidstick 8609 Retaining Compound is a fast curing, low viscosity, medium strength compound with high temperature resistance. It is ideal for close fitting parts, rotor on shafts, bushes, pulleys, and gears.

8609 offers excellent retaining, sealing, and thread locking properties, and is typically used to join rotor to shafts in fractional and sub-fractional horsepower motors.

8609 meets Military Specification MIL-R-46082B, Type I.
