Hole finders or otherwise known as Strap Duplicators, are used for duplicating holes when riveting sheet metal to any structure which already has holes drilled in it or for riveting two layers of sheet metal together. Hole to be duplicated is by locating the pin into existing hole of overlapping skin then lightly tapping a small centre punch on new panel to be drilled. Drilling is aligned through the hardened bushing on the opposite strap when the guide pin is placed in existing hole. The tapered rear end of handles is convenient for prising sheets apart.
